Cards of Tridala version 1.0

Some of the features included are:

Player vs. Player competition. While it is not networked yet, this home version of Cards of Tridala is a 2 player game that is meant to give you an idea of how the game is played.

MP3 Configuration. If you wish to play a certain music file, you can load up any mp3 file you have and place it in the mp3 folder. If you do not have any mp3 files, we have supplied two of our tracks for you. The music plays in alphabetical order.

Help Windows. If you have any difficulty in seeing any of the values on the cards or the resource boxes, you can right click on them to bring up a window that displays them more clearly. Don't forget to click on the lower right corner of the gold, garrison, rock, and water boxes for Per Turn information.

We hope that you enjoy this home version of Cards of Tridala. Although we do not know when the upcoming network version will be done, the following are a few of the features that it will include:

Various Difficulties: When players have gained a certain number of wins, they will have access to games of new difficulties for the card games. For example, if a player gets 50 wins, he may have access to an expert mode of the card game. This new mode may start you with 30 for the castle and keep, 40 for water, and 10 of the other resources. The victory conditions will remain the same, with the exception of raising the keep. Instead of having to rise from 15 to 60, you might have to go from 30 to 100. Another situation may be that you have normal settings, but you only have 10 water, and must try to destroy the enemy as well as keeping your water supply up. Like Vagabond's Quest, these levels of difficulty will be eventually be accessible to the player.

Ladder/Tournament Creator: Players will be able to make their own tournaments for private contests of skill. Like Vagabond's Realm, there will also be a ladder which will display a list of the best players in terms of their win/loss ratio, and how much money they have accumulated from the games they have played. A difference from VR, however, is that anyone can see their ranking by typing their name into a ladder search box.

Card Shop: An added bonus to the game will be the Card Shop, where players can use their hard-earned cash on more powerful cards, which act as wild cards in the games they play from that point on. These cards may range from cards that steal all the enemy gold, to cards that can attack every enemy resource for so much damage. These will be very expensive, but will be very beneficial to its owner. Of course, the games played with those cards will be random, and the opponent may take it out of the deck instead of the player who owns it, so its use is risky. You may choose which wild cards will be used before the game is initiated.

Various Game Options: Players will have the ability to create games, search games based on their difficulty, and search for specific players. If the player is online and in a given game, that game will be displayed in the search results.

Chat Rooms: Finally, players can discuss strategies, announce tournaments, challenge people to cards, or even meet friends in the chat room where everyone will enter when they log in. You will not be able to make your own rooms, but you can whisper to anyone for private chat.
